Howdy! Congratulations on being accepted to Texas A&M University and choosing to attend an outstanding institution. Participating in Sorority Recruitment is a truly rewarding experience and is the perfect opportunity to get involved in the Aggie community!

In 1974, Delta Zeta was established as the first sorority at Texas A&M University. Since then, Aggie Delta Zetas have been incredibly active on campus and take great pride in participating in other organizations' philanthropy events, as well as upholding community involvement. In addition, Delta Zetas are extremely committed to academics and maintaining high grades. The bonds of sisterhood and genuine friendships formed in Delta Zeta are truly amazing and we look forward to sharing them with you!

You may choose to submit a letter of recommendation from alumnae. The necessary links and addresses are provided below. I also encourage you to contact your local Panhellenic group for further recommendation letter inquiries. VP New Member Educator
From over 1,000 women who participate in New Member Recruitment at Texas A&M University each year, about 50 will be chosen to represent the Lambda Xi Chapter of Delta Zeta as New Members. The New Member Program gives New Members a foundation for their involvement as a sister in Delta Zeta. New members learn the history of Delta Zeta and their chapter; they study Delta Zeta values and principles, and begin to establish bonds of lasting friendship with the entire chapter. The ten week program “Becoming a Delta Zeta” focuses on the six tenets of membership: sisterhood, scholarship, service, standards, self, and social.

The New Member Education Program is a positive and exciting experience for each New Member, paving the way for understanding of the ritual and appreciation of the benefits of membership. New Members will also have the chance to experience fun activities such as a New Member retreat, a New Member Presentation, mixers, socials, and weekly sisterhood events. These events will help establish bonds of lasting friendship and sisterhood between the New Member Class and current sisters.

If you have any questions about Delta Zeta’s New Members or New member Program, please feel free to contact me!
